LCGRR - Helping Goldens Since 1991
| Thank you for always coming to this website (300-400 hits a day!) and for your interest in rescuing a golden retriever and your interest in the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue. Because of wonderful friends the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue was able to celebrate its 20th Anniversary this year. Our many dedicated volunteers and foster homes helped us make a difference to the rescue community and to the number of goldens we have been able to mend and to place in new loving homes. We wish we could go on forever, but we cannot and LCGRR will close its doors as of December 31, 2011. Our intake is closed. We have "saved" almost 1000 goldens in these past years. All of them have memories etched into our hearts. We have countless stories we could share about all of our adventures. Most of all we cherish the friends we have made and the dedication of our foster homes and our volunteers. This decision has not been easy and has not been made lightly. Again, we thank you for all your kindness and generosity. We plan to work closely with Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue (http://www.fhgrr.com) in Greenville, South Carolina. Should you have any "golden needs" please feel free to contact them. Please support RESCUE and support the research efforts to eliminate canine cancer which afflicts more than 60% of golden retrievers.
